Download Informational Flyer

Penny Ante, one of Woodland’s exciting new country bands, takes the stage at this year’s Tunes for Trees benefit concert. The popular event takes place Saturday October 7th, from 6-9 PM at Woodland’s Gibson House Museum, 512 Gibson Road.

Proceeds from the concert support the work of the Woodland Tree Foundation, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that plants and cares for trees in the Woodland area, including planting free shade trees for Woodland residents through the Neighborhood Shade Tree program.  To date, Woodland Tree Foundation volunteers have planted and cared for more than 4,200 trees.

Red Rose Ranch Band Ties

Penny Ante bridges the gap between the long established classic country bands and the “new country” bands that have recently emerged on the country music scene.  Band members Ray Elzey  on pedal steel guitar and Phil Giebel on bass guitar are veterans of the red Rose Ranch Band. They are joined by lead vocalist Marty Torres on rhythm guitar, vocalist Jeff Matthews , and the band’s newest member, Marine Corps veteran Jesus Frausto on drums.

The family concert includes a silent auction featuring gift baskets with local wines, gardening items, and other fun prizes.  A delicious and healthy dinner will be served, supported by the Kiwanis Club of Woodland. Tickets, $25 for adults and $10 for kids include dinner and a soft drink. Local craft beers and local wines will be sold separately.

Tickets are available at the concert, from Woodland Tree Foundation members or online here.
